Hope for Bukasa

Childrens home

It is often emotional and physical abuse, combined with poverty, that drives children on to the streets in Uganda, where the UN children's agency estimates there are 2.7 million orphans. According to HRW, some homeless children spend all of their time on the streets. Many toil during the day as vendors, porters or in small businesses for little money. Some undertake sex work. Homeless young people are vulnerable to sexual assault, which is rarely reported to police.

There might be appoximately a thousand street children in the area of Bukasa. Helping them to gain dignity in their life, experiencing love & care, a hope & a future  we want to establish a children home for the area. To do that we would need getting land on which we can built on. Creating a home for them would also include having volunteers who can live with them being like a "Dad "or "Mum"to them.
